Ohio Crossbow Hunting
Ohio’s large forests and variety of wildlife make this state a crossbow hunter’s paradise. Ohio offers a humid continental climate with all four seasons, and summers are extremely hot and winters can get very cold. Ohio has a wide variety of wildlife to offer hunters and archers, including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and wild boar. Horton Manufacturing is actually based in Tallmadge, Ohio so we truly agree that Ohio is the “Heart of it All”!According to the Ohio hunting rules and regulations, game can be taken with a longbow or crossbow, unless it has been otherwise specified. It is important to note that crossbows may not be used for hunting migratory birds. All longbow and crossbow arrows are limited to a broadhead tip that is at least ¾ inch wide when deer or turkey hunting. Ohio crossbow and archery hunting is perfect for all ages, because of the diversity of game throughout the state. Check out Ohio’s hunting rules and regulations below for more information.
